Silver Meridian – Terms & Conditions

1. Introduction
Silver Meridian (“Silver Meridian”, “we”, “us”, “our”) provides a dating and classifieds platform for adult users. By creating an account, accessing or using the app, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.
2. Eligibility
You must:
- Be at least 18 years old.
- Have legal capacity to enter into a contract.
- Use the app in the UK, EU or other permitted territories.
We may request proof of age or suspend accounts where age is uncertain.
3. Your Responsibilities
You agree to:
- Provide accurate information and keep your details up to date.
- Use the app lawfully and respectfully.
- Not harass, threaten, abuse or defraud other users.
- Not upload pornographic, explicit or exploitative content.
- Only upload content you have rights to use and share.
- Report suspicious, harmful or unlawful behaviour to us using in-app tools.
4. Content Rules
You must not post or share:
- Illegal content of any kind.
- Hate speech, harassment, bullying or threats.
- Violence, self-harm, or promotion of criminal activity.
- Explicit sexual content or images of nudity.
- Images of minors or content involving minors.
- Spam, scams or deceptive offers.
- Copyrighted material without permission.
We may remove or restrict any content that we reasonably consider to breach these standards or to pose a safety risk.
5. Moderation and Review Window
We operate a “Review Window” of up to 72 hours to assess:
- Reports and complaints.
- Safety alerts and abuse flags.
- Requests to remove or review ads, profiles or messages.
- Appeals against moderation decisions.
You agree that responses and actions may take time and that no immediate outcome is guaranteed. We will act within a reasonable timeframe based on volume and severity.
6. Notifications for Blocks, Restrictions and Reports
If we remove, hide or restrict your advertisement, profile or other content, we may send you an in-app notification explaining:
- The basic reason for the action.
- Any steps you may take to remedy or clarify the situation.
- Whether you may appeal the decision.
We may also issue warnings, temporary restrictions or permanent account bans where we consider it necessary for safety or legal reasons.
7. Appeals
If you disagree with a moderation decision, you may submit an appeal using the in-app tools within 14 days of the notification. We will review appeals within a reasonable period and notify you of the outcome. We are not obliged to reinstate any content or account that breaches our rules or safety standards.
8. Purchases and Refunds
Paid features (including ad placements and other in-app purchases) are processed by the App Store provider (such as Apple’s App Store or Google Play when available).
- All payments are billed through your App Store account.
- Silver Meridian does not process card details directly.
- Refunds are handled solely by the relevant App Store provider in line with their policies.
To request a refund, you must contact the App Store provider using their official channels. Silver Meridian cannot provide direct refunds or override App Store refund decisions.
9. Safety and Real-World Meetings
Silver Meridian does not carry out criminal background checks on users. You are solely responsible for your interactions with other users, both online and offline. We strongly recommend:
- Meeting in public places.
- Telling a friend or contact where you are going.
- Not sharing sensitive personal details too quickly.
- Ending contact and reporting behaviour that feels unsafe.
We are not responsible for the actions or omissions of users of the app.
10. Account Suspension and Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account, with or without notice, if:
- You violate these Terms or any content rules.
- We receive multiple or serious complaints about your behaviour.
- We suspect fraud, spam, scams or illegal activity.
- We consider your continued use of the app to be unsafe for others.
We may also remove inactive accounts or content as part of routine housekeeping.
11. Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- We are not liable for user-generated content or user behaviour.
- We are not liable for loss of data, loss of opportunity, or reputational harm arising from your use of the app.
- We are not liable for delays in moderation, technical issues or service interruptions, provided we use reasonable care and skill.
Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time, for example to reflect changes in law, safety standards or app functionality. Where changes are significant, we will notify you in-app or by other reasonable means. Continued use of the app after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
